Alanis Obomsawin Award (name pending)
Description: Awarded to one (1) self-identified Indigenous student with Arts & Humanities as their home
faculty (any year, any program). Particularly aimed toward students with passions for creativity, advocacy,
or academia. Value: $2000.00

Ivan Coyote Award
Description: Awarded to one (1) student who identifies as either LGBTQIA2S+ or genderqueer with Arts
& Humanities as their home faculty of study (any year, any program). Particularly aimed toward students
with passions for creativity, advocacy, performance, or academia. Value: $2000.00

Eternity Martis Award (name pending)
Description: Awarded to one (1) student who identifies as a BIPOC woman or BIPOC genderqueer
student in Arts & Humanities (any year, any study). If no student who meets the entire criteria applies,
this award will consider all BIPOC applicants. Particularly aimed toward students with passions for
creativity, advocacy, journalism, or academia. Value: $2000.00

Generation Award
Description: Awarded to one (1) student who identifies themselves as being in financial need (relying
heavily on loans and work to pay for their tuition), as being a first-generation university student (their
parents did not attend university), or both. Student must have Arts & Humanities as their home faculty
(any year, any program). Particularly aimed toward students with passions for creativity, advocacy, or
academia. Priority will go toward financial need applicants. Value: $2000.00

Accessible Leadership Award
Description: Awarded to one (1) student who self-identifies as having a disability, learning exceptionality,
and/or faces significant mental health barriers that impact the way they navigate university. Students must
be in Arts & Humanities (any year or program). Particularly aimed toward students with passions for
leadership, creativity, advocacy, or academia. Value: $2000.00
